HOLY FREAKING FREAK THAT IS FREAKING GORGEOUS
Unleashed 360 level graphics on a Wii?!?! This just ... wow ... I mean ... WOW.  I know I shouldn't make this kind of assumption based on graphics, but ... I'm willing to give Sega the benefit of the doubt this time, my hopes have been raised...

^ Sounds like a load of shit. Is it really free or does it cost MSP? >_>

Looking at its temporary boxart, it might be a retail game.

If it is an XBLA game, it'll be either 400 or 800 MSP.

Why did you think I was talking about Sonic Colors when my post included "If it is an XBLA game, it'll be either 400 or 800 MSP"?

I said:

Because you said boxart, and i initially thought it was a Download only title (meaning before you said boxart). So i assumed a little too much there.

The DS footage should be something Luxray can enjoy ... yeah, it's Sonic Rush 3.  The Wii version, on the other hand, is STRONGLY reminiscent of Savannah Citadel, which has my hopes raised again, considering that I really enjoyed Unleashed, and this seems like a high-def version of what I've played.

From the game spot impressions, Wii colors plays like Sonic Unleashed minus the Werehog. If they fix the controls, that's good news.
Ever know what its like to get pwned by a book? Sonic certainly does.

After watching this, I've decided to make Colors higher priority on my Sonic game want list than Sonic 4, if only for Eggman's showman-esque announcing. I just need to pray that you can turn off voice acting selectively, to hear Eggman without hearing an announcement for every power-up.

The DS version footage floating around isn't too special, but it does seem to show wall kicking becoming part of the moveset for 2D Colors as well (which is good, since it makes my hack relevant :P)

That music is ... quite awesome actually! Also, it confused me there being that second announcer guy, I wondered if they got a new VA for Sonic at first ... pretty much my only complaint is that it seems kinda easy, I'm hoping that's just because this is the first level or something.  I know they claimed to have designed it more "for kids", but they made the same claim on Black Knight and ... I still haven't beaten that <.<

I doubt this is a starter level..they would naturally introduce the wisps zone by zone, and by the abundance of dirt, i think this would be the level where the yellow wisp is introduced. The white ones are boosts obviously, and by the looks of it...they have the old style of ring count. So every 100 you get a life perhaps?

^ I believe this is the first level. It's been said elsewhere that many Wisps are unlocked as the game progresses as an incentive to replay old levels with new abilities, and that the E3 demo automatically unlocked relevant Wisps. The level seems beatable without Wisps, given that every time I think I see a dead end that requires the drill or laser, it's only because a Wisp power was used earlier.

Do note, that the Yellow wisp capsules respawn with time, and since i don't see a time limit so far, ring attacking those areas is completely possible.

...have you ever tried actually beating or even matching some of the higher-up times here? I challenge you to find a single yellow or above stat on this site that didn't take a fair amount of practice.

I mean even more. I don't think I would have the patience for that, altough sometimes I do ring atacks in SU that can take me 20 minutes always playing and going back in the level.

Well, as I'm sure I'll be buying it regardless of how much it sucks, (yeah, I know, fuck off) I instead get to gripe about the fact that, once again, there's no support for an actual controller, so say goodbye to short synaptic range!

YAY WORTHLESS INPUT METHODS!
